Hang 10 Kid's Ministry
At One Harbor we believe that God should be the center of all our efforts, including those concerning our children. That is why we have embraced a curriculum that does the same. The lessons we use come from Children Desiring God and focus on the characteristics of God. Like we do in the main service, we will be focused on the greatness of God and why he is worthy to be admired and imitated rather than spend time dwelling on how to be more moral, which is really useless & not what the Gospel is all about. In doing so, we give children a foundation to respond to God that will result in changed hearts & changed lives.
A secure check-in and check-out procedure ensures the safety of our children. All of our volunteers must complete a thorough volunteer application including a background check before serving in Hang Ten.
We currently offer child care for ages 0 through 10 (or fifth grade). We have 5 different age groups and they are divided below:
Floaties – ages 0-12 months
Mini Boogie Boards – ages 1yr & 2 yrs
Boogie Boards – age 3 yrs
Skim Boards – ages 4 – Kindergarten
Short Boards – grades 1st – 2nd
Long Boards – grades 3rd – 5th
