1. a period of time during which a group of persons meets to pursue a particular activity 2. a single continuous course or period of lessons, study, etc. 3. The sitting together of a court, council, legislature, or the like, for conference or the transaction of business. 4. A time period spanning from when you paddle out until you return to the beach. A session is one complete surfing period. If you are married with a family, you may also factor in travel and lunch into your "session" time.
