Along with our weekly church services, being a part of a Community Group is another way we make disciples at One Harbor Church. Each week, in homes throughout our area, small groups gather together to love each other, grow in the Gospel, and serve one another, our neighbors, cities, and beyond.
Frequently Asked Questions
What Are Community Groups?
Community Groups are One Harbor's groups of 8-20 people who meet all over our cities to love each other, grow in the Gospel, and to serve our neighbors, cities, and beyond.
When Will My Group Meet?
Community Groups generally meet at least once a week for two hours. Groups meet ten times in a term and there are three terms in a year. The terms are setup to move with the typical rhythms of life (i.e. we break over Spring Break, summer, and between Thanksgiving and the New Year).
What Will The People In My Group Look Like?
Look around on a Sunday at One Harbor. A Community Group is made up 8-20 people who attend One Harbor on a Sunday. We love it when groups are diverse in age, occupation, interests, and gifting but gel into something solid over a shared interest in Jesus!
Is There A Group That's Right For Me?
Yes! The group you join is the right group. We are a church of many cultures, generations, and backgrounds. Although we look diverse we are brought together through the Gospel. In fact God often uses our diversity to positively transform us.
Can I Invite Others To Join My Group?
Yes, we encourage you to invite others! However, before you do that make sure you talk it over with your group's leaders. Sometimes groups may not be able to take on new people for very good reasons.
